Overview

Children of Shelters (COS) is a San Francisco based 501c3 nonprofit organization working to provide support and education for children living in or being served by the homeless shelter system.

We provide unique educational opportunities, cultural experiences and enrichment activities for the children we serve. Our grants support children’s academic achievement and character development.  We believe that education and self-esteem are the keys to breaking the cycle of poverty.
